Carbon-Ceramic Drag System

Instead of a single disc, this system features a set of seven Carbon-Ceramic Discs, designed for superior braking performance. Compared to a traditional single-layer cork drag system, it boasts four times the strength, achieving a maximum drag resistance of 38 pounds.

It’s very easy to palm the reel when the salmon is making a strong run. While the large paddle handles increases grip and leverage over the traditional cylindracal handles.

The issue of creep eliminated as the reel is recieving increased drag when trolling in deep waters.

Although the TMX5 SE features enhanced spool porting and venting, which facilitate rapid drying, anglers are still required to take measures to protect the reel from the corrosive effects of saltwater.

Pro Tip:

: Do not store a wet reel in its reel case

: If the reel case has been subjected to salt water, it’s best to give it a strong rinse before storage

: I will submerge the reel in a bucket of fresh water for an extended period before allowing it to dry in a shaded area, away from sunlight or ultraviolet rays that may harm the mono fishing line.

The adage:

“Take care of your premium equipment, and it will take care of you.”
