Definition of a Pro Staff

An ‘angler pro staff’ serves as a promotional team member who represents fishing brands by endorsing gear, boats, or apparel, sharing content, participating in events, and cultivating a positive online presence.

I am frequently asked about my path to becoming a pro staff member. My journey began in 2014, when a friend recommended me due to my experience in both tidal and non-tidal fishing, my active social media presence, and my record of independent product reviews and editorial articles supporting the angling community.

My initial opportunity arose with Amundson Outdoors Ltd, my primary sponsor. Over time, my dedication and professionalism enabled me to secure additional sponsorships.

The following recommendations are based on my experience as a pro staff member:

Actively promote the company’s products through consistent engagement on social media platforms and participation in relevant events.

Share high-quality photographs, videos, and notable catch highlights that prominently feature brand products.

When evaluating new or unreleased gear, provide practical feedback grounded in real-world application.

Submit unbiased and confidential reviews that highlight strengths and offer constructive suggestions for improvement.

Refrain from making negative remarks about the company’s or competitors’ products. As an ambassador, consistently maintain a positive and professional demeanour.
